IT Project Management SIG - The role of leadership vs management in IT projects

Nelson Mandela never had to deploy a records management system

The session will take the audience through the challenges of creating an IT project vision & confirming high level direction in a project that is largely dependent on the success of detailed requirements & features. We will look at how conflict emerges amongst stakeholders and how people may wish to navigate through ... as the crush starts.

WHAT WILL PARTICIPANTS LEARN/GAIN/DISCOVER IF THEY ATTEND? Participants will gain an understanding of the role of leadership vs. operational management when delivering complex IT Projects. Why depending on either alone will not result in an optimal outcome for the project, relationships and creating value for the organisation.
