Global ICT Thought Leaders Descend on Brisbane


World Computer Congress - Brisbane, 20 – 23 September, 2010

22 July, 2010, Australia – Some of the world’s leading ICT experts and innovators including Nicholas Carr, author of The Big Switch, Richard Stallman, Free Software Foundation, John Suffolk, CIO of UK Government and Dr Eva Hopper, European Patent Office, will descend on the 21st World Computer Congress, which is being held in Brisbane from 20 -23 of September.

The World Computer Congress (WCC) is the International Federation for Information Processing's (IFIP) main global event. The Congress is held every two years by a host nation and combines content from commercial, industry, association and research sectors offering an opportunity to showcase and discover innovative ideas.

Over 300 CEO/CIO/CTO and international speakers will provide insights into the future of technology and how it will have a social and economic impact across the globe. Some of the industry experts that will speak at the IFIP WCC2010 include:

Up to 1000 delegates from more than 66 countries around the world will participate in the four day Congress held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The IFIP WCC2010 will involve more than 50 exhibitions and eight streams of content including:
