ACS Education Programs

Education
ACSEducation provides educational, training and professional development programs to support the ACS objective of growing ICT capability in Australia. It has a major principle of delivering and developing programs designed by ICT professionals for ICT professionals. Fees are established on the basis of providing membership benefit rather than as a profit earner for ACS.

As a second principle ACSEducation does not offer programs with ICT content that is available through higher education institutions in Australia. ACSEducation staff work closely with professional standards and the external Professional Standards Advisory Board to ensure relevancy and currency of its programs.

ACSEducation currently offers;

  • The Computer Professional education Program (CPeP) as a pathway to professional status
  • The Professional Year Program (PYear) with accredited educational partners for non-Australian recent graduates wishing to migrate on a permanent basis to Australia.
  • The Diploma in IT (AQF 5) mostly for students wishing to enter the practice of ICT in the SE Asian region. It also provides a pathway to a number of Australian universities IT bachelor degree programs.
  • A Certificate in Software Testing (AQF4) on behalf of the Australian Government. Click HERE for more information.
  • Education Across the Nation (EdXN), a series of forums for ACS members on current and relevant topics
  • Master Classes in selected topics as required by members or Professional Partners
